The challenge
What was broken before WeGroup showed up.
Berkelstaete is the Thoma Group's service-provider arm. It distributes Thoma volmacht products to affiliated agents (onderagenten). Each agent runs their own office, their own client base and their own relationships. Berkelstaete provides the platform.
The friction was operational. Onboarding a new agent used to be weeks of configuration. New products needed to be rebuilt across every agent's surface. End-clients had no self-service channel, so every routine question landed on the agent. The model worked, but every additional agent and every additional product made the service-provider role heavier.
“We are a service provider inside Thoma. The platform our agents use has to keep up with us. A two-day product launch and a ten-minute onboarding for a new agent are the bar.”
What we built
WeGroup ships the multi-tenant platform Berkelstaete runs its agents on. Per agent: own login, own clients, own data sync. Per product: define it in ANVA, propagate to the network in a day or two.
Multi-tenant by design
Every agent logs into their own context, with their own clients, their own products and their own portfolio. The shared layer is the platform, not the data.
Ten minutes to onboard an agent
Adding a new agent to the network is configuration, not a project. Ten minutes, live the same day. The service-provider role stops being the bottleneck.
Generic ANVA product unlock
Products land in ANVA. A generic productontsluiting propagates them into the Berkelstaete platform. New products go live across the agent network within a day or two of being defined.
Mijn Omgeving for every end-client
Every onderagent's clients get the customer portal. They view policies, download documents, file claims and keep their relationship data current, without calling the agent first.
The numbers
What it produced, in numbers.
Affiliated agents
One platform, fifty agents, each in their own context. Multi-tenant without multi-platform. The service-provider role stays light.
Onboarding per agent
Adding an agent to the network is a ten-minute configuration. Live the same day. Growth no longer waits for the service-provider team.
New product live
Products defined in ANVA propagate to every agent on the platform inside a day or two. No rebuild per agent, no separate rollout cycle.
Klantportaal everywhere
Every agent's end-clients use the customer portal for policies, documents, claims and relationship data. Inbound phone work drops; agent time goes to advice.
The outcome
A service provider should not be slowed down by its own platform. Berkelstaete adds an agent in ten minutes of configuration and lands a new ANVA product across the network in a day or two.
Berkelstaete now runs its agent network on one multi-tenant platform. Onboarding a new agent is configuration work, not a project. New ANVA products are live across the network in a day or two. End-clients of each agent have Mijn Omgeving from day one.
The service-provider arm scales without the service-provider team scaling alongside it. The Thoma Group's distribution thesis works because the platform does not drag on every new addition.
In their words
We are a service provider inside Thoma. The platform our agents use has to keep up with us. With WeGroup we plug a new agent in inside ten minutes and ship new products across the network in a day or two.
